6 tips to de-stress

  1. Don't bottle up your feelings, but talk about them with your partner, family or a healthcare professional (e.g. psychologist, coach, …)

  2. Limit the use of technology. Wireless technology in particular can unknowingly cause us a lot of stress. Before going to bed, try to turn off your devices and read or talk for a while.

  3. Breathing exercises! You can do this anytime, anywhere, inhale for 4 to 6 seconds, hold your breath for 4 seconds and exhale slowly. Repeat this a few times and you will notice that your heartbeat becomes calm. A mini-reset, as it were, of your nervous system.

  4. Think of yourself. Sometimes dare to shield yourself from the problems of others. Schedule some me-time, go shopping or take a walk, a massage. Away from everyday responsibilities.

  5. Exercising helps you to put everything away from you. Walking between the fields or hitting the gym, do what makes you feel good.

  6. Yoga & mindfulness are activities that allow you to relax physically and mentally and at the same time help you become stronger.
